Once upon a time, theorists of geopolitics put forward the idea that “Whoever controls the Mediterranean will control the world." Nowadays in the century of international technology and an information-based society, the question is put differently: “Whoever controls the sources of information, will control the fate of the world”. But our aim is rather more modest than that; it is “the maintenance of objective information for internet users, whether they are in Uzbekistan or abroad."
Today a startling tendency in the use of the internet is noticed. Even the officials of the same institution discuss different corporate projects by internet forums. Such tendencies and interest in the internet have prompted us to create a website www.gzt.uz, the main aim of which is the spread of news, information, analytical materials, and comments on events happening in our country and abroad. Of course information is like any product, and cannot be fully objective. It expresses the distributor’s point of view. But from the point of view of professional ethics some subjectivism is allowed dealing with this or that item. It means that having one’s own point of view is not a drawback. Of course there is then the question “How to overcome this subjectivism?”
To our mind, the only way of overcoming it is the reflection of different points of view on this or that event.
