The Youth as Decisive Power in Uzbekistan

www.gzt.uz - The State Program of the Year of Youth envisages allotting UZS 1.5 trillion (it is USD 1.1 billion) for accomplishment of the tasks set in the program.
Naturally, Uzbeks are a baby-lover nation. The famous Uzbek poet Muhammad Yusuf said that the Uzbeks 1ives for its children.
The President Islam Karimov proclaimed 2008 as à Year of Youth in Uzbekistan. For over the past years the attention to the youth became the priority of the state policy.
About 17 million people or 64% of the population of Uzbekistan is under 30 years. They are a decisive power of reforming and renewing the state. In this, it is important to educate, upbring, underpin the youth and help them find à right way in the society to develop and flourish the country.
The first step towards accomplishing these tasks began with improving the education system. For the last period of time in the framework of the program for training the cadres and developing the school education 1200 academic lyceums, professional colleges, 4600 nation-wide schools were built and overhauled. Uzbekistan provided for the material, technical basis, and improved the education standards, cadres training system, as well as renewed the information technologies system.
At the moment the country provided for the free compulsory education and three-year special professional education. For over the past ten years over one million young students acquired professions in hundred directions, 265 specialties and 700 professional masteries. Uzbekistan pays a profound attention to the employment of the youth. In 2007 alone more than 630.000 jobs were created, particularly for the youth.
The Uzbek “Kamolot” Public Youth Movement, “Forum for Culture and Art of Uzbekistan” Fund, “Soglom Avlod Uchun” Fund are operating for fulfilling the strives, hopes of the forthcoming generation. Zulfiya and Nihol Awards, “Yangi avlod” and “Kelajak ovozi” show-contests give an opportunity to unveil new talents among the youth.
At the moment the names of young generation as Rustam Êasimjanov, the world champ in chess, Ruslan Chagaev, WBA champion in boxing are known all over the world. It must be noted that the conditions created for developing  sports give à stimulus for them to gain high results in sports.
The measures undertaken in Uzbekistan în extending the children’s sports allow the youth to be widely engaged in sports. With this goal the Uzbekistan created a Fund for developing children's sports in 2002. In 2003-2007 the Fund allotted UZS 100 billion to build 715 children's sports entities with 583 of them in rural area.
It is also important to support the youth materially and spiritually who are going to get marry. 6.5 million families live in Uzbekistan; 1 million of them are the young families.
The State Program of the Year of Youth envisages allotting UZS 1.5 trillion (it is USD 1.1 billion) for accomplishment of the tasks set in the program. These facilities aim to provide for housings, material and technical conditions for the young families, to allot soft loans for them and assist to bring up a healthy and robust generation.
Uzbekistan is a country with the great future. Thus, Uzbekistan nurtures the matured, intellectual, healthy youth for achieving these great goals.
